SMS Consent & Program Details

This page explains how Lookymart's SMS / MMS messaging works, what you (and any friend you share with) can expect, and how to opt out. By using the SMS-share feature on lookymart.com, you agree to the practices described here.

Program overview at a glance

How consent works (the opt-in flow)

1. A user creates a Lookymart account and signs in.
2. On a sitcom episode or news segment page, the user clicks "Send to a friend's phone."
3. A modal opens asking for the friend's mobile number plus a required consent checkbox labeled: "I confirm this person has agreed to receive a single Lookymart message at this number."
4. The user must type the number AND check the box. Without both, the Send button is disabled.
5. On submit, Lookymart sends one MMS containing the audio teaser plus a link.
6. The first message to any recipient is invitation-style and includes the originating user's first name plus opt-out instructions.

Lookymart users are prohibited (under our Terms of Service) from entering phone numbers without the recipient's prior consent. Misuse can result in account suspension and may violate U.S. law (TCPA).

What a recipient sees

A recipient who has been added by a Lookymart user receives one MMS that looks roughly like this:

The audio attachment plays inside the recipient's text-messaging app (iMessage, Messages, etc.) without any need to open a website.

Opt-out — how to stop messages

A recipient can opt out at any time by replying to any Lookymart message with any of the following:

STOP  ·  UNSUBSCRIBE  ·  CANCEL  ·  END  ·  QUIT

An opt-out reply is processed immediately. No further messages of any kind will be sent to that number. The recipient will receive one final acknowledgment confirming they have been opted out, then nothing.

A recipient can text HELP to receive contact and program information. Auto-reply:

Lookymart Sitcom 🎭 — text SITCOM for today's episode, STOP to opt out.

Subscription keywords (optional)

A recipient who would like to opt in to recurring content can text:

• SITCOM — receive each new sitcom episode as it publishes
• NEWS — receive a daily news segment
• START — re-opt-in after a previous STOP

These are voluntary. A recipient is never automatically subscribed. After subscribing, the recipient can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

What we do with phone numbers

• The phone number is used only for the message the Lookymart user requested.
• We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with any third party for marketing purposes.
• If a recipient opts out (STOP), the number is added to a permanent suppression list so we honor that opt-out across the entire service.
• Numbers are passed to Twilio, our SMS infrastructure provider, only for the purpose of delivering the message you requested.

Carrier and rate disclosures

Standard message and data rates may apply to the recipient based on their wireless carrier and plan. Lookymart does not charge for SMS itself. Message delivery depends on the recipient's carrier; some carriers may filter or delay messages. Lookymart is not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by carrier networks.

Eligibility

SMS shares are available to recipients with U.S. or Canadian mobile numbers. Recipients must be at least 13 years old. The originating Lookymart user is responsible for ensuring the recipient meets these requirements.

Changes to this program

We may update or change the SMS program at any time. Material changes will be announced on this page and the "Last updated" date above will be updated.
